Introduction

I am a psychology major and will be graduating in September with a BA in Psychology and a Certificate in Child and Family Studies from Roosevelt University. Psychology has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can even remember. I have always been captivated by human emotion and behavior and their infinite number of reactions to different situations. Why do some women morn the loss of a child but find ways to continue on while others become so depressed to the point of committing suicide?

Because of this question and many others, I have always known that I would major in psychology. I took my first psychology course while at Truman College in Chicago. My early psychology courses reinforced my passion and encouraged me to go further in the field. I will be continuing my studies at Roosevelt to earn my MA degree in psychology. My passion is so great that I want to contribute as much as I can for my field although there does not seem to be a lot for a psych major to do at times. This, of which, brings me to why I have created this blog. I will post short “article” pertaining to a specific topic in psychology. A new topic will be covered each month with, hopefully, 3-4 short papers on the topic. Although, sad to say, I do not promise that the blog will be updated monthly especially when school starts up but I will do my best.
